I CAPTURE THE WONDERS AND MYSTERY OF LIFE IN PICTURES IN BELGIUM AND ABROAD

Nature photography has always been in my blood, mainly because of my father who has always been passionated about nature and birds in particular.
I remember the time as a kid when I was impressed by his pictures of birds with his 600mm zoomlens, I called it 'the bazooka'...
As a teenager I received a second hand Minolta reflex-camera and I tried to shoot birds aswell but the range of my lenses was rather disappointing and with the beginning of the digital revolution the camera ended up in a dusty corner of my room.
In the year 2010 I started following a course digital photography at Syntra Ghent for starters and for advanced afterwards. This to get used to the basics of (digital) photography. Teacher at that time was Lukas Roels. Inspired by Lukas, people took up an increasingly prominent place in my photographs. With 3 daughters running around in my house this was a rather fulfilling subject. As the daughters grew up, their willingness to appear in front of the camera became less and less. From that moment on my attention happily switched to nature. Currently to the extent that all my free time is spent on nature photography. I also work professionally in relation to nature as an advisor within the Agency for Nature and Forests (Flemish Government).
My interest and passion for photography has only grown since I purchased my first digital reflex camera.
There is nothing more fulfilling to me than coming home with raw images after an inspiring day in nature and to develop them to a beautiful collection of images. With this site I can share a part of this feeling with anyone who wants it...
